Course 003 – Signals and Statistics

Duration: 3 hrs

Digital Signals contain Information, that can be extracted and tell us something about the signals. Central signal processing tools are based on statistical methods, that are presented in this course:

  • Signals: ergodic, causal
  • Probability distribution functions
  • Statistic Moments: Mean, variance, skewness and Kurtosis
  • Statistic Moments for vector signals and matrixes
  • Statistic Moments for complex-valued signals
  • Practical statistics and time-variability
  • Examples
